Role of Homeopathy in Treating Hypothyroidism

A 60 year old lady approached our clinic with symptoms of tiredness, weakness, pain in joints and  dry skin. The patient was very active before but now felt tired doing the daily chores. She thought it could be due to aging process. We advised her to get T3, T4, TSH levels checked. The report showed that she was suffering from hypothyroidism. A detail case taking was done. She was very emotional by nature. She would cry often remembering her kids who were in U.S. Taking into consideration the mental and physical symptoms of the patient a homeopathic remedy was prescribed. She was adviced to perform Yoga  and follow a balanced diet.

After a regular course of homeopathic medicines for few months the patient showed lot of improvement. She felt active and could do her daily chores. As advised by me she enrolled herself for a painting class. Her mind was full of creative thoughts now. She felt better. Her reports were normal now.

Homeopathic medicines are safe, gentle and do not have side effects.

Homeopathic medicines stimulate the underactive thyroid gland to produce adequate amount of hormones.

Homeopathic medicines act on mental level, hence the patient no longer suffers from depression, mood swings and thus the patient is restored to health as basic principle of Homeopathy says restoration of health of the patient and not merely removal of disease.
